Lifestyle and the aging process can stain and darken teeth. Many things we do on a regular basis can contribute to stained teeth, such as drinking coffee, tea, cola, red wine, or smoking.

Tooth whitening, which is also known as bleaching, is the fastest, safest, and easiest way to improve a patient’s smile. Teeth can become discolored due to staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. In cases of extreme tooth discoloration, crowns or veneers may be the ideal option, but our dentist is happy to discuss the best plan for each individual patient based upon the desired goal. If tooth whitening is recommended, our patients can personally decide which method they would prefer. Our office offers custom trays for application of professional strength bleaching agents to be worn at home as well as an in-office process that whitens teeth in only one hour. Patients that choose to have the immediate results of the one-hour whitening are also given custom trays and topical bleaching agents to “touch-up” as desired at home.

For a brighter, whiter smile without the wait, our office uses Opalescence Boost, an in-office, chemically activated whitening treatment that offers results in less than an hour.

Opalescence Boost features a unique, chemically activated formula that allows your dentist to whiten your teeth without the bothersome heat or ultraviolet rays of a light. Opalescence Boost also contains potassium nitrate and fluoride, which help to improve oral health by strengthening enamel, decreasing sensitivity, and offering increased cavity prevention.

Opalescence Boost offers results in less than an hour. The supervised, in-office procedure is safe and effective, and offers a brighter, whiter smile after just one appointment.
